SOL is excited to return to Virginia to partner with Average Girl Magazine for an event in Richmond, VA. Check our Calendar for more information on the Entrepreneur and Biz Women's Expo, where SOL is sponsoring the "Strategic Partnering" workshop led by our publishing partner Denise Spiller of Universal Press.
FEBRUARY 2009
SOL continues educating on independent film at Rockland Community College with Founder Tyson Hall leading a featured screening, plus Q & A with filmmaker and cast members. Our Calendarhas location details.
MARCH 2009
SOL is excited to be planning a full-day event with Talent Agent Vince Paul of Talent Link for our Charlotte, North Carolina event. All we have so far is the March 28, 2009 date. So save the date! And we'll have more details soon.
At the SOL Film Festival we:
- Show great independent films!
- Bring together independent filmmakers of all genres
- Provide a forum for dealmaking to take place
- Allow distributors to get a first look at a variety of short indies
- Provide educators with the knowledge of how film and media can be utilized in the learning process
- Provide students with knowledge of the filmmaking process
- Provide opportunities for investors to meet and greet great filmmaking talent
- Provide a dynamic forum for producers to network, meet talent and cut deals!
- Provide potential advertisers, sponsors and brand partners with "first-look opportunities" at potential branding vehicles
